Ritz Cracker Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    20 Ritz crackers
    1 c. chopped nuts
    3/4 c. sugar, divided
    1/4 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 pt. whipping cream
    3 large egg whites
    grated coconut (optional)
Preparation
    Crumble crackers and mix with nuts and half the sugar. Beat egg whites until stiff and add to the remaining sugar. Pour egg whites into dry ingredients; add vanilla. Mix well and pour into a buttered pie plate. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 25 minutes. Allow pie to cool. Beat whipping cream and 1 teaspoon sugar. When stiff, pour over top of pie.
