Scandinavian Almond Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Cup Sugar
    1/2 Butter, softened
    1 Egg
    1/2 Tsp. Almond Extract
    1 3/4 Cups Flour
    2 Tsp. Baking Powder
    1/4 Tsp. Salt
    1 Tbsp. Milk
    1/2 Cup Sliced Almonds, chopped
Preparation
    Cream sugar and butter; beat in egg and extract.
    Combine dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture and mix well.
    Divide dough into fourths; roll into 12x3 inch rectangles 5 inches apart on greased baking sheets.
    Brush with milk; sprinkle with almonds.
