Fried Apples - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium apples
    4 tsp. drippings/table fat
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
Preparation
    Core and quarter unpared apples, then slice in 1/4-inch slices. Heat fat in skillet and add apples.
    Cover and cook slowly for 6 to 8 minutes.
    Add sugar and cook until transparent and tender, lifting and turning with spatula until done.
