Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. boiling water
    1 c. rolled oats (quick), uncooked
    1/2 c. margarine, softened
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    For cake, pour boiling water over oats. Cover and let stand 20 minutes.
    Beat margarine until creamy. Gradually add sugars and beat until fluffy. Blend in vanilla and eggs.
    Add oat mixture. Mix well. Sift together flour, soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add to the other mixture.
    Mix well and pour in greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake 25 to 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
