Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/4 c. boiling water
1 c. oatmeal
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Pour boiling water over oatmeal.
Let stand 20 minutes.
Cream shortening, sugar, brown sugar and eggs.
Add oatmeal to the mixture; stir.
Add remaining ingredients.
