Piccalilli - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. green tomatoes
    1 qt. vinegar
    1 tsp. salt, whole cloves or pickling spices
    1 stick cinnamon
    6 onions
    1 lb. sugar
Preparation
    Slice tomatoes and onions thin, then let stand overnight. Drain next morning.
    Mix vinegar, sugar, salt and spices.
    Add tomatoes and onions; bring to boil.
    Put in jars and seal.
