Country Club Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 medium yellow squash
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    8 oz. sour cream
    1/2 to 3/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp. basil
    1 c. soft bread crumbs
    1/2 c. grated medium Cheddar cheese
    1/3 c. margarine, melted
    1/2 tsp. paprika
    8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
Preparation
    Wash squash and trim off ends.
    Cook squash and onion in boiling salted water until tender.
    Drain and mash.
    Drain again. Combine squash, sour cream, salt, pepper and basil.
    Pour into a greased 2-quart casserole.
    Combine bread crumbs, cheese, margarine and paprika.
    Sprinkle over squash mixture.
    Top with bacon.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Yield:
    6 to 8 servings.
