Potatoes Duchess - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. hash browns
    1 stick melted margarine
    1 c. diced onions
    8 oz. grated cheddar cheese
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    16 oz. container sour cream
    salt and pepper to taste
    potato chips-optional
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients together.
    Pour into 9 1/2
    x 13 casserole dish.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    If desired, during the last 15 minutes add 1 cup crushed potato chips on top.
