Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. shortening
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 ripe bananas, sliced
    1 egg
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Cream shortening, sugar and bananas.
    Beat in eggs.
    Combine dry ingredients.
    Stir gently into egg mixture alternately with liquids.
    Fold in pecans.
    Pour into greased 10 x 6 x 3-inch pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Yields 8 to 10 servings.
