Date Nut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. dates, chopped
1 lb. pecans, chopped
1 c. flour
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 small jar maraschino cherries
1 (No. 1) can crushed pineapple
2 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs, beaten
Preparation

Preheat oven to 300\u00b0 to 325\u00b0.
Have loaf pan ready.
Mix dates and pecans.
Sift dry ingredients and add to dates and pecans.
Mix well (it's easier to use your hands).
Add cherries, pineapple, vanilla and beaten eggs.
Bake in loaf pan in slow oven (300\u00b0 to 325\u00b0) for 1 1/2 hours.
