Mema'S 24 Hour Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 egg yolks
    dash of salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. pineapple syrup
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. Cool Whip
    2 c. white cherries, pitted
    2 c. mini marshmallows
    2 c. pineapple chunks
    2 c. mandarin oranges
    1 small jar maraschino cherries
Preparation
    Combine egg yolks, sugar, pineapple syrup, salt, vinegar and butter in a saucepan.
    Cook on medium heat until thick.
    Fold remaining ingredients into the bowl and chill for 24 hours.
