Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. applesauce
7/8 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. liquid shortening
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. powdered cloves
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. nuts

Preparation

Mix thoroughly applesauce, brown sugar and shortening.
Set aside.
In separate bowl, mix all dry ingredients.
Add raisins and nuts.
Add applesauce mixture.
Bake 40 minutes at 350\u00b0 in a 9-inch pan.
