3 c. self-rising flour
1/3 c. shortening (Crisco)
1 c. buttermilk
Preparation

In a large bowl, mix flour and shortening by hand (or you may use a cutter) until the mixture is crumbly. Add milk. Mix well to form a ball of dough. Pinch off pieces of dough and form biscuits in your hand. Press biscuits onto lightly greased cookie sheet or baking pan. \"Pat\" top of each biscuit so that dough will not be too thick. Bake in 450\u00b0 oven for 10 to 12 minutes. \"Brown\" tops.
