Molasses Coconut Chews - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. white sugar
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. shortening
    2 eggs, beaten
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 c. molasses
    4 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. soda
    1 c. coconut flakes
Preparation
    Cream together the white and brown sugar and the shortening. Add the beaten eggs, vanilla and molasses.
    Beat well.
    Sift together the flour, soda and salt and stir in.
    Stir in coconut flakes.
    Shape into small balls and place on greased cookie sheet about 3 inches apart.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
