Hot Butterscotch Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. light brown sugar
    1/3 c. hot water
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    5 c. milk
    pinch of salt
    1 3/4 tsp. vanilla
    garnish: ground nutmeg and whipped cream
Preparation
    Melt brown sugar in a 2-quart pan over medium low heat while stirring.
    Add hot water and bring the mixture to the boiling point.
    Add butter and cook 1 to 2 minutes.
    Add milk and heat. Blend in salt and vanilla extract.
    Garnish with cream ground nutmeg.
    This is an alternative to hot cocoa and tastes good in the winter!
