My Favorite Caramel Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. self-rising flour
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. Crisco Puritan oil (do not use Wesson)
    1 c. sweet milk
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Grease and flour 2 (9 1/2-inch) layer pans.
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Combine flour and sugar in a large bowl.
    Add oil and 2/3 of the milk.
    Beat 2 minutes at medium speed with electric mixer. Add remaining milk, eggs and vanilla.
    Beat 2 minutes longer. Pour into prepared pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until centers spring back when lightly pressed with fingertip.
    Cool, then frost.
