Cinnamon Diamonds - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter, softened
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 egg yolk
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1 egg white, beaten
    3/4 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Cream butter and brown sugar; beat in egg yolk and vanilla. Stir together flour and cinnamon.
    Stir into creamed mixture.
    Pat into ungreased baking pan.
    Brush with egg white.
    Sprinkle with nuts.
    Lightly press them into the top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 18 to 20 minutes.
    Cut into diamond shapes while warm.
    Makes 48.
