Ingredients

1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
2 c. flour
1 c. coconut
1/2 c. nuts
1/4 tsp. salt
1 jar apricot jam
Preparation

Cream sugar, shortening and vanilla.
Blend in egg.
Add flour, coconut, nuts and salt.
Spread 1/2 mixture into 9 x 13-inch greased pan.
Spread with apricot jam.
Cover with remaining crumbs.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
Cool and cut into squares.
