Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs
    1 3/4 c. milk
    2 1/2 c. self-rising corn meal
    1 tsp. sugar (optional)
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. melted shortening or oil
Preparation
    Beat eggs well.
    Stir in milk. Stir in corn meal, sugar and salt. Bake in preheated 450\u00b0 oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until lightly browned.
    Cut into squares and serve hot with butter or margarine.
    Makes 9 servings.
