Best Cornbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 egg
1 c. milk
2 Tbsp. honey or maple syrup
2/3 c. cornmeal
3/4 c. flour, sifted
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. melted butter
Preparation

Beat egg until light and frothy. Add milk and honey.
Combine the cornmeal, flour, baking powder and salt. Add butter and stir well.
Pour the batter into a greased baking pan. Bake at 425\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
Serve with fresh butter.
Beat until stiff 1/2 pint heavy cream and 1 egg, beaten.
Refrigerate.
