Cracker Jacks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 qt. hot air-popped popcorn
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 sticks butter
    1/2 c. white Karo syrup
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 to 2 c. raw peanuts (optional)
Preparation
    Cook sugar, butter and syrup in saucepan for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat and add vanilla and soda. Whip until foamy.
    Mix well with popcorn.
    Bake at 250\u00b0 for 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes.
    Add peanuts, if desired.
