Ingredients

1 3/4 c. milk
6 1/2 Tbsp. butter, melted
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
1 Tbsp. dark Karo syrup
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
3 Tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
3 egg yolks (save whites for meringue)
1/2 c. water
Preparation

Bring milk almost to a boil and add butter.
In a bowl, mix brown sugar, white sugar and syrup together and add hot milk slowly.
Mix remaining ingredients and add slowly to hot milk mixture.
Place back on stove and cook until thick.
Let cool. Pour into 9-inch pie shell.
