Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
3 eggs
3 Tbsp. flour
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Preheat oven to 300\u00b0.
Cream butter and sugar, adding sugar 1/2 cup at a time.
Blend in vanilla.
Add eggs one at a time.
Combine flour and salt; add small amount at a time.
Add buttermilk. Sprinkle pecans in bottom of prepared pie crust.
Pour custard over pecans and bake for an hour and 30 minutes.
Best if served at room temperature.
