Grandma Utterback'S Sweet Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can milk, plus enough water to make 3 c. liquid
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    3 tsp. salt
    8 or 9 c. flour
    4 eggs
    2 pkg. dry yeast
Preparation
    Pour hot milk over sugar, shortening and salt. When lukewarm, add 4 cups flour and the eggs; beat well.
    Add yeast dissolved in 1/4 teaspoon sugar. Add more flour until beater will no longer carry it. Turn out on floured board and knead lightly, working in a little more flour as needed.
    Put in a greased bowl and let rise to twice its bulk. Work down and let rise again.
