Christmas Nut Thins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine, softened
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    pecan halves
Preparation
    Combine butter and sugar, creaming until light and fluffy. Add eggs, beaten well.
    Add flour and salt and mix until smooth. Stir in chopped pecans and vanilla, mixing well.
