Ingredients

2 lb. beef, cut in 2-inch cubes
1/2 c. vinegar
1/2 c. soy sauce
1 bay leaf
4 peppercorns
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 small piece ginger, cut in strips
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation

Combine all ingredients and let stand overnight.
Put in a pot and bring to a boil.
Let simmer for an hour or until beef is tender.
Serve hot.
