Gooba - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. medium barley
    1 large onion, diced
    6 oz. mushrooms, diced
    3/4 c. chicken stock
    3 Tbsp. margarine
    garlic powder
Preparation
    Rinse barley 3 times; parboil 1 1/2 hours, then rinse and drain.
    Saute onions until clear in margarine.
    Add mushrooms to onions; saute until mushrooms are tender.
    Combine onions, mushrooms, barley and chicken stock.
    Pour into greased baking dish.
    Sprinkle with garlic powder.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 3/4 hour.
