Apple Walnut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. coarsely chopped apples
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/4 c. vegetable oil
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation

Combine apples and sugar; let stand.
Beat eggs slightly; beat in oil and vanilla.
Mix and sift flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt; stir in alternately with apple-sugar mixture.
Stir in walnuts.
Pour into greased and floured oblong pan (13 x 9 x 2-inch).
Bake at 350\u00b0 about 1 hour, or until cake tests done. Let stand in pan, until quite cool; turn out on rack to complete cooling.
Frost with Lemon Butter Frosting; decorate with whole walnut meats.
Cut in squares to serve.
Makes twelve or fifteen squares.
