Devil'S Food Cake - cooking recipe

1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. cocoa
1 c. hot coffee
1/2 c. Crisco shortening
1 1/4 c. granulated sugar
2 large eggs
Preparation

Sift together first 4 ingredients.
Mix cocoa and hot coffee; set aside.\tCream Crisco and sugar; add eggs, slightly beaten. Add flour mixture and cocoa mixture alternately to sifted ingredients and beat well.\tPour into large flat cake pan that has been greased and lightly floured.
Bake 45 to 55 minutes at 350\u00b0. Test with toothpick.
