Hamburger Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground beef
    2 c. chopped onion
    2 qt. hot water
    2 c. diced carrots
    2 c. diced celery
    2 c. diced potatoes
    1 1/4 Tbsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper
    1 beef bouillon cube
    2 bay leaves
    1/8 tsp. basil
    3 1/2 c. tomato juice
Preparation
    Brown ground beef with onion.
    Add remaining ingredients, except tomato juice.
    Bring to a boil.
    Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
    Add tomato juice; bring to a boil.
    Cover and simmer for 1 hour.
