Ingredients

3/4 c. peanut butter
3 Tbsp. margarine
1 c. packed brown sugar
1 c. whole wheat flour
2 egg whites
3 Tbsp. skim milk
2 Tbsp. baking soda
3/4 c. quick rolled oats
1 medium apple (about 3/4 c.), peeled, cored and chopped
Preparation

Beat peanut butter and margarine with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth.
Add sugar and half of flour, egg whites, milk and baking soda.
Beat well.
Stir in remaining flour; add oats and apple.
Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls on greased cookie sheet; flatten slightly with fork.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 14 minutes until brown.
Remove, cool on wire rack.
Store in moistproof container.
Can freeze up to 6 months.
Makes 16 to 18 cookies.
