Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. cooked rice
    3 c. milk
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. butter
    vanilla flavoring
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients, except flavoring in saucepan.
    Cook over medium heat until thickened, 25 to 30 minutes, stirring often.
    Add salt, if needed.
    Add flavoring and dried fruit, if desired.
    Serve hot or cold.
