Skillet Steak And Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. boneless round steak (3/4-inch thick)
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed golden mushroom soup
    1 c. water
    1/2 c. sliced onion
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. quick cooking rice, uncooked
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen Brussels sprouts, cooked and drained
    1/2 c. Burgundy or other dry red wine
Preparation
    Pound steak; cut into serving size pieces.
    In skillet, brown steak in shortening and pour off fat.
    Add soup, water, wine, onion and salt.
    Cover and cook over low heat 1 hour and 15 minutes.
    Stir occasionally.
    Add rice and Brussels sprouts, bring to boil.
    Reduce heat; cover.
    Cook 10 minutes or until done. Makes 4 servings.
