Asparagus Egg Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. fresh asparagus
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. milk
    1 c. grated American cheese
    1 c. buttered bread crumbs
    3 Tbsp. flour
    pepper
    4 hard-cooked eggs, shelled
Preparation
    Prepare asparagus and cut into 2-inch pieces.
    Cook in 1-inch of boiling salted water until tender.
    Make white sauce of butter, flour, seasonings and milk.
    Stir in cheese.
