Rabbit - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large or 2 small rabbits
    1/2 c. bacon drippings
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 carrot, diced
    1 c. mushrooms
    2 ribs celery
    1 green pepper
    1/2 c. water
    1 tsp. salt
    dash of black pepper
    3 small bunches basil
    pinch of brown sugar
Preparation
    Brown rabbit with garlic in bacon drippings.
    When brown, add other ingredients.
    Cover tightly and simmer for 1 1/2 hours or until rabbit is tender.
