Holiday Macaroons - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/3 c. coconut
    1/2 c. finely chopped dates or figs
    1/2 c. finely chopped nuts
    1 egg, well beaten
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/8 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients well and let stand 5 minutes.
    Then drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
    Remove to cool on wire racks right away or they'll stick!
    Makes 1 1/2 dozen.
