Texas Toffee - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 lb. saltines
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 c. butter (not margarine)
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation

Line pan with foil. Place crackers flat on bottom of pan. Boil butter and sugar 3 minutes. Spread over crackers. Bake in 400\u00b0 oven for 5 minutes. Sprinkle chocolate chips over this while hot. Return to oven to melt. Remove and spread evenly. Sprinkle with chopped nuts. Break into pieces when cool.
