Applesauce Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pt. applesauce
    2 egg yolks (save whites)
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    pinch of salt
    heaping tsp. flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Heat applesauce; add yolks, sugar, salt, flour, vanilla and butter.
    Beat
    egg\twhites\tuntil
    stiff;
    put
    on top and brown lightly.
