Ingredients

3 cans beets, drained (save juice)
1 c. sugar
3 level Tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. vinegar
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
3 Tbsp. catsup
3 Tbsp. cooking oil
pinch of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. beet juice
Preparation

Mix
sugar
and cornstarch together well.
Add vinegar, cloves,
catsup,
oil, salt, vanilla and beet juice.
Mix well and cook until thick.
Add beets and heat thoroughly.
