Peach Puff Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. milk
    1 uncooked pie crust
    2 c. sliced, peeled peaches
Preparation
    Cream butter with half the sugar.
    Add beaten eggs gradually and lemon rind.
    Add flour, salt and baking powder alternately with milk.
    Line a pie plate with pastry.
    Put peaches into it with remaining sugar, then spread batter over all and bake at 375\u00b0 for 20 minutes; then 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    Canned peaches can be used.
