Spanish Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium onion, chopped
    3 to 4 cloves garlic, chopped
    1/2 green pepper, chopped (if desired)
    1 c. rice
    chili powder to taste
    cumin to taste
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
Preparation
    Heat oil in skillet (cast-iron works best) and saute onion, garlic, pepper and rice.
    Add seasonings and brown the rice.
    Then add the tomato sauce and 1 can water.
    Stir, cover and simmer for 20 to 25 minutes.
