Fried Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. bacon drippings
    1 small onion, sliced
    1 small head cabbage, shredded
    1 c. soup stock or 2 bouillon cubes in 1 c. water
    dash of cayenne
Preparation
    Melt bacon drippings in heavy pot or Dutch oven.
    Add sliced onion, shredded cabbage and soup stock.
    Cover pot and bring to boil, then simmer for 1/2 hour.
    Serve with cornbread.
    Pass a cruet of cider vinegar with this cabbage.
    Dunk cornbread in the pot likker.
    Good.
