Gumdrop Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. margarine
1 c. sugar
1 egg
3/4 c. applesauce
1/8 tsp. cloves
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. baking soda, dissolved with 1/2 Tbsp. hot water
2 c. flour *
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped nuts
2 c. spiced gumdrops, sliced thin or cut in small pieces

Preparation

*Set
aside
approximately
1/2 cup flour to dredge the gumdrops, raisins and nuts so that the fruit won't sink to the bottom.
Be sure and add remaining flour to the cake.
