Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 3/4 c. self-rising flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 tsp. sugar
    4 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Cream shortening, sugar and eggs until light and fluffy.
    Add flour to mixture.
    Stir in vanilla.
    Shape into balls the size of walnuts.
    Combine remaining sugar and cinnamon.
    Roll each ball in sugar mixture.
    Place on a cookie sheet.
    Flatten slightly with a fork.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 minutes or until cookies begin to fall.
