Shoo-Fly Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    1 box light brown sugar
    2 sticks butter
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 c. boiling water
    1 c. Karo syrup
    2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Mix the flour, brown sugar, butter and salt; save 1 cup for crumbs.
    Mix water, Karo and soda together; add to flour mixture. Sprinkle crumbs on top; bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 minutes in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    May also make cupcakes.
