Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    2 Tbsp. milk
    4 c. self-rising flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream together shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla.
    Stir in milk.
    Sift flour and salt.
    Stir into creamed mixture, blending well.
    Chill 1 hour.
    Roll on floured surface to 1/4-inch thick. Cut into desired shapes.
    Bake in moderate oven (375\u00b0) about 10 minutes.
    Remove from cookie sheet and let cool.
    Makes 2 dozen medium cookies.
