Holiday Nuggets - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter, softened
    1/2 c. margarine, softened
    1/2 c. sifted confectioners sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 tsp. almond extract
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    confectioners sugar
    colored crystallized sugar
Preparation
    In mixing bowl, cream butter, margarine and sugar; blend in vanilla and almond extracts.
    Gradually add flour and salt.
    Stir in nuts.
    Shape into 1 1/4 inch balls.
    Place on ungreased cookie sheets.
    Flatten slightly with fingers.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 25 minutes or until the bottoms are lightly browned.
    Cool on a wire rack.
    When cool, sprinkle with mixture of confectioners and colored sugar.
    Yields 3 1/2 dozen.
