Prune Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. Wesson or Crisco oil
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. each salt, soda, cinnamon and nutmeg
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. cooked prunes, pitted and mashed
1 c. pecans or black walnuts, chopped
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Sift flour, sugar, salt and spices into mixing bowl.
Add oil and buttermilk.
Mix and add eggs; dissolve soda in mashed prunes and fold into batter.
Mix in nuts and vanilla.
Bake in 350\u00b0 oven in tube pans about 45 minutes or 2 (9-inch) layer pans for 30 to 35 minutes, or until tested done.
Pans are to be greased and floured.
Frost with Raisin Pecan Frosting.
