Margaret'S Icebox Rolls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. boiling water
2 tsp. salt
2 pkg. yeast
1 tsp. sugar
5 to 5 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. butter flavor shortening
1/4 c. lukewarm water
2 beaten eggs
Preparation

Pour boiling water over sugar, salt and shortening.
Stir and let cool until lukewarm.
Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water with teaspoon sugar.
Let stand and work 10 minutes.
Add yeast, eggs and flour (1 cup at a time) to cooled mixture.
Beat only until flour is worked into dough.
Place in greased bowl and tightly cover with foil.
Should chill at least 12 hours.
