Frosted Date Nut Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. butter flavoring
    2 c. brown sugar, lightly packed
    4 eggs, well beaten
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    2 c. flour
    1 c. dates, well chopped
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Gradually add sugar to eggs and flavors, beating until light and fluffy.
    Sift together salt, cinnamon and flour.
    Add slowly to sugar mixture.
    Blend well.
    Add pecans and dates.
    Spread evenly on well-greased 10 x 15-inch sheet pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 35 minutes.
    Cool.
    Top with orange frosting.
    Cut into 1/2 x 3-inch bars.
    Makes about 30 bars.
